Hi. I’m Chelsea, and this is my blog.
I’m a storyteller, traveller, and bookworm. I lived a nomadic life during my twenties — bouncing around from apartment to apartment, going on backpacking trips, and living in Melbourne, Australia for a couple of years — but now, in my early thirties, I’m working on putting down roots in lovely Vancouver, Canada. I’m learning to love this more settled existence, but I am afflicted with chronic wanderlust. Fortunately, being a freelance writer and strategist gives me plenty of opportunity to travel for business and for pleasure.
I tend to freeze up when I’m asked to describe myself – my hobbies and interests and whatnot. I know I’m interested in things, but do coffee and wine and books and music constitute proper interests? Cheese. I also really like cheese.
A few random facts about me: I was born a ginger. I cannot handle being in the room when people rub flour on the kitchen counter; it makes me feel ill. When I was a teenager, I used to write romance ‘novels’ and distribute them amongst my friends. I once got fired from being a bridesmaid. I have been to something like 26 countries (more if you count places like Monaco and the Vatican), and plan to make it 36 by the time I turn 36. When I was younger, I thought I made up the word ‘vagabond’.
About My Blog
Chelsea Tells Stories is no one thing. I started out as a travel blogger more than 10 years ago, but these days I write about places, books, food, music, and whatever else is delighting me at the moment.
One thing’s for sure: this is a blog about collecting and coveting experiences, not things.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
